Health - for your body and mind:

Committed to an holistic approach, and bringing many years' experience of helping people care for their health, our osteopathy and mental strength training (MST) practices are now up and running in our well-appointed clinic room at Old Gore Farm. Practitioner-led movement and mindfulness sessions will follow.
Hospitality - a warm welcome:

Our Bed & Breakfast accommodation, The Boar Suite, is being designed with care and attention to detail, blending the charm of the building's style and its quirks with modern comforts, and making the most of the far-reaching countryside views. Farm-to-table breakfasts, and occasional exclusive dining events such as seasonal 'Dinner Dates', will showcase the best home-grown and locally-sourced ingredients and produce. Longer-term, self-catering accommodation will be created in the historic outbuildings, too.
Homemade - to create and savour:

Using authentic, tried-and-tested recipes, delicious traditional farmhouse fare including chutneys, soups, dips and scones will again showcase home-grown and locally-sourced ingredients. Handmade crafts, and arts and crafts workshops are also planned - watch this space!
The Story So Far...
Sarah & Angus:
Having searched for several years for our 'forever home' closer to family, we found Old Gore Farm in 2023 - or did it find us?! When we viewed the property, the chickens pecked our feet which we took as a sign that we couldn't leave!

The homestead is being nurtured into a home and a place of work combined that will give us the change of lifestyle we craved. We enjoy keeping busy with diverse skills and interests, we're home-bodies but sociable, too, we've worked hard but count ourselves lucky to have landed here and are excited at the prospect of what the future holds.

The property & its location:

The house itself, at one time Old Gore Inn, is essentially a Georgian building with all its age-related quirks and charms. In a small hamlet near Ross on Wye in South Herefordshire, in the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we take in stunning views all around us - across to the Black Mountains and, in the opposite direction, to Gloucestershire. Known as the 'Gate of the Wye', Ross is the perfect place to start from to explore the riverside and surrounding hills - there is access to the Wye Valley and Hereford Trails within easy walking distance from the homestead, with many other walking and cycling routes nearby. Ross is also a central hub for visiting Hereford, Gloucester and Monmouth, the Forest of Dean and the River Severn.

The present & future:

Much work has been done, with much work still to do. We will tweak and add to our offerings as things evolve and as we live, learn and settle into our new home and lifestyle. We look forward to meeting and sharing this special place with our clients and guests.
